ABOUT
LIL BROS
On a family vacation in 2010, I was doing what I always do, eating spicy food and buying a bottle of local hot sauce as a keepsake. Its been my way of collecting "postcards" for more than a decade now. I absolutely love hot sauces, the different varieties of local peppers, the cool labels, and of course the heat.
Outside of the souvenir shop, my dad said "You're always buying hot sauces, why don't you just make your own?" I was a just a collector, I had no idea how to make sauces. It turns out this was the key to why Lil Bro's is so great, and unlike anything else on the market.
For the next few years I experimented with dozens of peppers and spices, always taking them to my parents' house first. Not knowing how to make traditional vinegar based sauces, I kept roasting and using whole peppers and blending them with just enough vinegar and water to make it a sauce. That's how the "whole pepper" sauce was created. After 2 years of constructive criticism, my two biggest fans helped me develop what I think are the perfect sauces for people who need an extra kick.
It was also on that 2010 vacation that I learned that my stepmom's cancer had returned and she didn't think she had the strength to fight it again. She in fact did fight it again for 4 more years, never wavering and never feeling sorry for herself. She stayed strong for her boys and lived life to the fullest.
She was my biggest supporter right up to her passing in 2014. Without her support Lil Bro's would not be what it is today. And without Save-ourselves.org she wouldn't have had the strength to fight. To thank them, honor my mom, and help future cancer fighters, Lil Bro's proudly donates a portion of the proceeds from every bottle to the Save Ourselves Foundation.
